Lunch at McKinley
It is very important that every child have a nutritious lunch at school each day. Glass bottles are not allowed at school. Drinks should be in thermoses, juice boxes or cans. Students are not allowed off campus at lunchtime unless signed out in the office by a parent.
Chartwells Lunch Program

Chartwells lunch program will begin on Wednesday, August 29, 2007. The price of lunch per day is $3.50. Those students on the Federal Reduced Lunch program will pay 40 cents.
The program works on a "debit card" system which uses an individual student PIN number. All returning students will use their number assigned from last year. If your child is new to school or has forgotten his/her PIN number your child's teacher has a list of PIN numbers for their class.
We encourage parents to send (prepay) as much money as they can for future purchases. The money will be credited to your student's account. When you student purchases
lunch, the amount spent will be deducted from the student's account balance. No change will be given to student; the change will be entered into their accounts.
Please send money, checks payable to Chartwells or cash to school in a sealed envelope to the school office. Please be sure you have printed your child's name, and PIN number on the envelope and bring this money to the school office.
When a student's balance gets low, ($9.00) we will stamp the student's hand. We hope this will act as a reminder that the student's lunch account balance is low and money needs to be sent to school.
Lunch from Home
All lunch bags/boxes brought from home should be clearly marked with the student's name and room number. Students should not leave lunches unattended in the yard. Please note that lunches brought in late should be left in the office where the students can pick them up at noon. We ask that no glass containers or carbonated beverages be brought to school.
