March 22- All Oakland Museum field trip permission slips and money due today. If you haven't gotten these things in yet, please have it to me as soon as possible.
March 22- McKinley classes are starting to collect change for Student Leadership's Spring Fundraiser for BCE. We call it "Change for People". You will get a flyer sometime this week, but in the meantime, send in any loose change or money you can spare.
March 23-Founder's Day Lunch. Students need to come dressed in dark pants/skirts and light tops. They will be singing at the beginning of this luncheon.
March 23- Anti-Drug Home Lessons for 4th and 5th graders, begins today. There will be 4 lessons altogether over about a months time. Please read the letter from Mrs. Rohan/the district office, and go over the first packet with your child, which is on alcohol. (You have one week to read over it with your child). Please do not hesitate to ask questions, if any arise during these home lessons.
March 23- PTA Art Project Fundraiser goes home. Instructions will be included with each care, but here is the gist of the project. Your child will bring home a blank card that they can decorate. You can then send this card back to your teacher with payment, and your child's card will be made into a set of cards. You will receive these cards in a nice celophane wrapping and tied with a ribbon in a few weeks.
March 26-Science Test on Physical Properties.
March 30-Anti-Drug Home Lessons continue. The next packet goes home today, and you will have until April 12 to go over this one with your child.
April 1- Oakland Museum Field Trip- Students need to be at school 8:00 a.m. The parent drivers will be taking them to the Millbrae BART station at 8:15. Please do not drop your child off at the BART station, unless you have talked to me about it first.
