There are 370 students in grades K - 5 in our lovely neighborhood school. People from all over the world attend our school. We have an award-winning staff. We are located in a quiet area of Burlingame, California, near the San Francisco International Airport.

Caring Majority Student Pledge As a student at Lincoln School, I embrace that "Caring Majority" model. I can best learn in an environment that has diversity, fairness, trust, understanding, and camaraderie. I believe in standing up for myself and others in what is right while respecting other people's ideas and actions. As a student at Lincoln Elementary School: * I will support the learning of all students and always try to do my best. * I will speak politely. * I will respect others and myself. * I will follow the rules and be safe while at school. * I will respect the school and personal property. Consequences for Inappropriate Behavior Minor infractions will be determined and handled by the classroom teacher. Example of consequences associated with minor infractions include the following: * Take a time out * Sit on the bench * Loss of privileges Major infractions will be handled be the principal or her designee. The categories of severe misbehavior listed below will result in the student being sent immediately to the office: * Physically dangerous behavior: fighting, assault, physical intimidation (Caused or tried to cause someone injury) * Illegal acts: stealing; damaging property; has a knife or other dangerous object or an imitation firearm at school (Non dangerous items taken away from students by faculty may be reclaimed at the end of the day from the office). * Insubordinate behavior: extremely or often disruptive or immediate refusal to comply with a reasonable staff instruction within a specified period of time. * Habitual teasing and intimidation of other students.
Caring Majority Parent Pledge As a parent of student at Lincoln School: * I will help my child comply with the Student Pledge. * I will follow up on teacher recommendations regarding minor and major behavior infractions. * I will ensure that my child is only on campus during supervised hours before and after school, including no earlier that 8:15 a.m. for early birds and 9:15 a.m. for late birds and no later than 2:10 p.m. and 3:10 p.m. respectively for early and late birds pick up. * I will support and enforce the dress code. * I will help create a strong home/school partnership.
