Franklin 2008-2009 School Year Important Dates:

August 2008
Mon., August 25th – Kindergarten preview visit 3:00-3:30 p.m.
Tues., August 26th – First Day of School – All students attend 8:30-Noon
Wed., August 27th – Thurs., Sept. 4th – K’s will be on an early Tuesday schedule; Grades 1 - 3 students will attend school 8:30 – 2:00.
Wed., August 27th – Grades 4 & 5 begin their regular school schedule
Thurs., Sept. 4th – Back to School Night at 7:00 p.m. – Parents only.

September 2008
Fri., September 5th – Early Dismissal – Grade K 8:30-noon, Gr. 1-5 8:30-1:30
Mon., September 8th – Early/Late Begins for Grades K-2.
Fri., September 12th – Back to School Reception (details in future bulletins).
Tues., September 23rd – Picture Day

October 2008
Fri., October 3rd – Walk-a-Thon
October 27-31 – Fifth Graders at Outdoor Ed

November 2008
November 3-12 – Parent/Teacher Fall Conferences (details in future bulletins)
Tues., November 11th – No School – Veteran’s Day
November –TBD - Fall Book Fair
November 26-28 – No School – Thanksgiving Holiday

December 2008
Wed., December 10th – Winter Concert Grades 3-5 – 7:00 p.m. at BIS

December 22-January 2nd – No School, Winter Break

Mon., January 19th – No School – Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday
Tues., January 27th – PTA Volunteer Coffee and Art Show
