Kids At Work

5th grade

We're reading The Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, which involves the mystery of an angel statue supposedly carved by Michelangelo. We learned a little about Michelangelo and looked at pictures of the Sistine Chapel. We attempted our own drawings while lying on our backs to experience what it must have been like for him. After 10 minutes we were sore! Imagine what it must have been like for him to paint like that often over a period of 4 years!!
